ACTIVISM THAT WORKS

Which resistance actions could be MOST effective against threats to democracy in the US?
Come learn!
This workshop will be inspiring and interactive. We'll alternate learning about theory and case studies with opportunities for small group discussions and exercises to apply ideas. The focus will be on 1) identifying and putting pressure on primary and secondary targets, and 2) reaching out for unlikely allies and mobilizing passive supporters.

The two trainers have been social justice activists for many decades, in movements including anti-nuclear, anti-intervention, housing rights, youth empowerment, voting rights, climate change, and classism awareness and action. They have studied research on social movement outcomes.
Bigger Than Dobbs Standout
June 28, 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Bedford St. sidewalk near the
"Something is Being Done" Women's Monument

Last year, Indivisible LAB members joined standouts and rallies to mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and warn the public about Project 2025 with signs saying "Abortion is just the tip of the iceberg” and "Republicans are trying to turn back the clock.”
This year we are seeing the implementation of Project 2025’s regressive policies that target women and are joining fellow Indivisible groups across the state to sound the alarm about attacks on our rights and freedoms.
Join us on the sidewalk across from the "Something is Being Done" Women's Monument in Lexington Center on Saturday, June 28 from 1:00-2:00 pm to protest the GOP’s escalating attacks on reproductive healthcare, voting rights, and other issues affecting women.
This standout, which we are co-hosting with Mystic Valley Action 4 Reproductive Justice, will be one of more than 20 others across Massachusetts next week. After the standout ends at 2, we plan to take a group photo in front of the Women’s Monument.
This is a peaceful, non-violent gathering. Signs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!

Stand Out Wednesdays
Weekly, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Minuteman Statue, 1 Bedford St. Lexington
Stand Up! Stand Out! Join us every Wednesday to defend the values that define our democracy and oppose policies that threaten our rights and freedoms. Bring a sign and stand with fellow activists as a visible show of resistance.
Everyone welcome, no RSVP required.
