Marshal Training

Indivisible LAB is a member of the De-ICE Hanscom Coalition, which is co-sponsoring this in-person marshal training, hosted by the Reclaim Our Democracy group at First Parish in Concord.

This free, two-hour workshop will provide principles and techniques for building a culture of collective care, implementing common safety protocols at nonviolent direct actions (marches, rallies, protests, standouts, etc.), and de-escalating agitated, angry, and aggressive individuals at such events. These skills are valuable for any activist who organizes or participates in demonstrations.

This training is offered by Rebecca Riccio of Arlington, a social change educator, practitioner, and activist with many years’ experience in direct action safety coordination and training. She did a similar training for Indivisible LAB before the No Kings standout in Lexington last summer.
